The Fylde Society of Model Engineers operates the Marsh Mill Miniature Railway. Trains (often steam hauled by finely engineered miniature locomotives) run weather permitting on Sunday afternoons, Bank Holidays and Special Events (see links page for times). Trains run some Wednesday afternoons or during school holidays. There are no set fares but reasonable donations are appreciated towards running costs. Rides are enjoyed by adults and children of all ages, please visit us!
The Links page has details of similar attractions in the North West. It also gives our additional operating dates and locations.
On Easter Sunday 21st April members of FyldeSME have been invited to stage a small display in Marsh Mill of their miniature locomotives, stationary engines and construction work in progress (between 11am and 3pm).
A chance to enjoy the Mill Square attractions, visit the Mill and to meet the model engineers who maintain and run the nearby long established railway track. Please come and see us and don't forget to take ride afterwards!!
Parents are reminded to take care that young children do not get too close to moving trains or be allowed to touch hot steam engines. Despite precautions steam locomotives sometimes emit hot ash and scalding water - sensible clothing is recommended for rides.
